Ho Chi Minh City - day 1

26th of September 2012, my Mom, Imah and Me went to Ho Chi Minh City(previously known as Saigon) The flite took about 2 hours to reach HCMC's airport. We bought Bukhara Chicken Briyani(pre-booked) and it was ok-ish. It was raining that day. And the ride kinda bumpy. Felt like riding a roller-coaster(I love roller coaster!) During our stays in Ho Chi Minh City(lets just call Saigon after this shall we? HCMC is just too long), we have quite a few incidents with the taxi. I'm going to make a post just on that. Later. For now, let's just go tru what we've done on the 1st day, yes? So, we checked-in to our hotel. The hotel was good. The room was okay(love the bath tub!). Service was great, tho it's a bit hard to understand what the staffs are trying to say(english). We even asked them to book the water puppet ticket for us. Wi-Fi connection was okay. The only thing that was a bit unfortunate for us was the location of that hotel. It's quite far from the Dist

Ironic

Last weekend, My Parents, Imah and I went to Port Dickson. My Father had some work stuffs that he had to do and the rest of us decided to tag along. Before we go there, I asked my father the hotel that we're going to stay. And he answered Tiara Beach Resort. By the name of that resort, one would think that it's located beside a beach. Nu-uh. Might want to think again. There's no beach! Even if you stretched out your eyes, you wont see them. Oh.. There's a makeshift beach. A pool that they make it look like a beach. The water is dirrty though. Nevertheless, I found that kids to love the pool. One thing that so annoying and irritated the heck of us was the Karaoke. Open Karaoke!. I dont care if they want to sing their heart out if they did it in a Karaoke Room. But to sing it on an open stage? have some consideration will ya! it's night. There's not even a single audience. Kalo sore macam  Siti Nurhaliza sanggup ar gak nak menahan telinga. Ni sore sengau, o

Hit&Miss

Salam On Friday before the previous one, I had an online chat with my friend. And among the conversation that we had, we talked / touched a little bit about cheesecake. She asked me whether I can make one which then I answered that I never even attempt to do one. The only thing I know about cheesecake then was there are 2 types of cheesecake. Baked and Unbaked. My Mom does make a delicious cheesecake. Me? Never think of making one. Why? I don't really like cheese. Never really like the texture and the taste of it. So I don't really see the point of making an effort to make a cheesecake. Up until that Friday. So, made a research and last week, I've made 2 cheesecakes. Baked and Unbaked and I'm quite curious why people often prefer the unbaked cheesecake so I was a bit excited to do the taste test. Baked Oreo Cheesecake:  Sorry there's no picture. that cake was such a hit that it finish on the same night itself. I'll make it next week if I can and post

Huawaaaa Chooooouummmm. . . . . . ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Sghroottttt....  Ughh... This morning I drove my KakLong along with my two nephews to Hospital for their Immunization Schedules. Huh..Let me tell you, having a child/s is not cheap. Let me emphasize the word NOT CHEAP. Or you can say expensive. Huh....You really have to set aside a sum sum sumsszz of money for your little preciousz. Lets see....Baby formula(Enfalac A+ 650g the price is around RM65), diapers, anything related to clothes, toiletries, medical, life insurance + education fund. Do your own calculation........... And that is just only for the child's need. Parents expenses? ugh.... So, mak...let me stabilize my income first ya! before I step into the other stage.. Heh heh heh.... Sghroottttt....

Pit Stop

A few weeks back(or is it last week?), while flipping trough the pages of SEDAP magazine(Vol.4), I've come across a recipe that make my stomach shout I WANT TO EAT THAT!!!!!! Dang the stomach. You think your brain could do all the genius stuffs, but hello, think again. B'coz it often got bypassed by something else. And in this particular case, my stohaaamachhhh...No wonder there's triple Tyre on that particular area. But that's neither here nor there(*smug* I always want to use that sentence. kekekeke) Point is, there's a recipe for Pai Epal  Goreng . Translate = Fried Apple Pie . And the recipe is....please buy the magazine. It's on the page 52. The recipe ask me to make my own pie crust(pie skin? what do they call it?). But I'm too lazy. And frankly, I don't exactly have the time nor the patience to do it. It's 6.30pm...come on...who the heck cook on that time? Urrr..maybe lot's of people do that....but.....Anyway.....So, I'm good

Kimchi Mee Maggie

Last week I've made kimchi. O.o Yep....kimchi. For those who are avid korean drama lovers(or kpop lovers) they should be familiar with that type of cuisine. So, after making those kimchi, I've been salivating.... over my own daydream........ of eating kimchi ramyeon. Wellll, might as well make it real.. I dont have ramyeon. But I have Maggie. Same thing for me. Just instant noodle. And the taste is soooooo delishhousssszzz..... The recipe for my Kimchi Maggie is actually the same as when you make any instant noodles. The only difference is you have to boil the kimchi along with couple cups of water instead of only water. But For those who never ever eat/make instant noodles(boy, you sure missed out some of the greatest invention that ever made), refer below for the recipe:- 1. Put 2 tbs of kimchi in a pot 2. Add 2 cups of water 3. Throw in 2 cili padi, sliced. 4. Let them boil 5. Throw in the noodle and let it cook for about 1-2 min. 6. Throw in sausag
